Newborn pictures are some of the most important photographs you will ever take. They capture all the innocence, the itty bitty features, it’s the only way to keep them “little” forever. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience. Whether it be here in my home studio, or joining you in your home, I am to make you as relaxed and comfortable as possible! When I look back to our newborn sessions, I am reminded about our seasons of life, and between both of our kids, life was SO different! They are priceless to me. I know that the only way to hold on to this moment, this season of your life, is through photos. My home is your home when you come for your studio session. We have toys, snacks and movies for big brother/sister and coffee for mom & dad! Every SCP baby, I love like my own. I can’t wait to document your sweet baby and give you memories that last a lifetime and more.
My Philosophy
Have you thought about what type of session you want? A studio session? A lifestyle session? Don’t worry if you don’t! We will talk about the benefits of both and your vision for your session! Once you know, we’ll get a contract and invoice taken care of. We’ll “schedule” you for 5 days after your due date and adjust based on when baby actually arrives! Before your session you’ll receive a prep guide, to help you know what you can do before your session to help make it successful! All of my newborn sessions are done weekday mornings! Newborn sessions are best done within 21 days of birth, exceptions made for preemies!
The Process
It’s my most asked question, what is the difference between a lifestyle newborn session and a studio newborn session? A studio session is an all posed session with a beanbag and props. A lifestyle session is done within the walls of your own home, a relaxed, non posed session snuggling your new baby!
Lifestyle Vs Studio
I remember those first few weeks, how exhausting they were. Functioning on the smallest amount of sleep, which is why I won’t ask you to work while you’re here. Safety is my biggest concern. I work with an assistant at every studio session. I want you to come and be able to sit back and relax and know that your baby is safe and cared for like they were my own!
Safety
I love delivering my client’s files quickly and easily via an online gallery. You will have the ability to print, share and download your images as much as you want. I love allowing my clients to pick their favorite images out of a complete gallery! You have options to add additional files or purchase the entire gallery for a small fee!

Swaddle blankets and onesies are great, but let's be honest- every momma-to-be gets a million blankets & outfits (and how many of those are duplicates?!). Give the gift that can't be duplicated, the gift babies can't grow out of. Give the gift of moments capture, and memories made- give the gift that will last a lifetime. Your family and friends can select anything from full sessions to Heirloom albums. I also offer photoblocks, matted prints, framed prints and the alway available gift certificate.

A personalized page directly on my website can be found by using a direct link printed on your shower invitations, or a registry card with a URL can be inserted and sent right along with the invitations! Sharing directly on social media is also highly encouraged!

The sooner the better! My calendar tends to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to us, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a retainer.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Ideally within baby's first 14 days of life! Let's capture all those little details before they change too much!
Expect lifestyle sessions to last 1-2 hours, studio sessions 2-4 hours.
When does our session take place?
This is not an uncommon concern! I suggest keeping the kids out of school for the morning. I'll then start with family & sibling photos. Once those are of those are taken, have dad, mom, or grandma drive the kids to school!
Too young for school? No worries- I'll have snacks, toys & movies ready to keep your littles entertained!
